Meet the founder of VAFS

Jaleesa is a scent artisan that turned her crafting side hustle into a thriving full time business. What started as a mother's day gift in 2016 blossomed into a unique fragrance line that pushes the envelope with edgy fragrances. 

Since going full time in 2020, Jaleesa has managed to continue her career as a natural hairstylist as well. Let’s just say, she’s a creative that thrives on tight schedules. Also, watching people light up with joy when they smelled her candles at the local markets was the spark that kept her going.

When she put her focus on her online space, she then realized that she could utilize her passion for writing and storytelling through the journey of her candles. Through emails, blogs and candle descriptions, Jaleesa shares stories, experiences, and the process behind each candle she crafts.

Over the years it became far more than selling candles; it’s all about creating a sense of luxury, slow living, and connection.
